Pointillism is an unique style where the artist creates an image with thousands of tiny dots. When the dots are put closer together, the area is darker for shadows. When the dots are further apart, the area is lighter for highlights.
The closer you stand to an image created in pointillism, the more you see the dots but the further you stand away, the less the dots are visible.
